Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers for when life feels complicated.
At Streit Smart Divorce, we know divorce comes with a lot of questions about money, process, timing, and what comes next. This page is designed to give you clear, honest answers so you can move forward with confidence.
1. Are you a law firm?
No. We are not a law firm and do not offer legal advice or legal representation. Streit Smart Divorce provides financial strategy, planning, and coaching services to help clients make informed decisions before, during, and after divorce. If you need legal guidance, we can coordinate with your attorney or refer you to one of our trusted legal partners.

2. Can I use Streit Smart Divorce if I already have an attorney or mediator?
Yes. Many of our clients work with attorneys or mediators while using our services for financial clarity and support. We partner with your legal team to make sure your financial settlement is informed, realistic, and in your best interest.
3. What is Divorce Simplified™?
Divorce Simplified™ is our signature service for clients navigating an uncontested divorce with minimal complications. It’s designed to help you organize your financial information, understand your settlement options, and move forward without unnecessary conflict or delay. Most clients complete the process in 4–6 weeks.

4. What’s the difference between Divorce Simplified™ and Divorce Simplified Plus™?
Divorce Simplified™ is ideal for amicable, uncontested divorces with straightforward financial matters.
Divorce Simplified Plus™ is designed for more complex cases, such as those involving children, higher-value assets, or unresolved disagreements. It includes extended support and typically takes 6–8 months to complete.

5. What if my divorce is high-conflict or financially complicated?
You don’t have to navigate that alone. We specialize in helping clients work through difficult situations, whether you're dealing with disagreements over assets, unclear financial records, or emotional tension. Our Divorce Simplified Plus™ and Divorce Coaching services are designed for exactly these situations.

6. Do you help with QDROs and retirement account division?

Yes. We offer flat-fee QDRO drafting and pension valuation services to ensure retirement assets are divided properly and efficiently. We help you and your attorney understand your plan’s terms, avoid financial mistakes, and finalize this critical step in your financial settlement.
7. I’m already divorced, can you still help me?
Absolutely. Our Post-Divorce Financial Planning service helps you get organized after the paperwork is done. Whether you’re trying to rebuild credit, plan for retirement, or make sure your settlement terms were fully carried out, we’re here to support your next chapter.

8. How much do your services cost?
We offer flat-fee pricing for most services and will provide clear cost estimates upfront. Our goal is to deliver value and reduce the financial uncertainty that often comes with divorce. We also offer stand-alone sessions and add-ons when extra support is needed.
9. Do you work with couples or just individuals?
Both. Some clients come to us individually, while others choose to work as a couple when their divorce is amicable. We adjust our support based on your situation, always focusing on fairness, clarity, and moving forward with respect and dignity.
10. Where do you provide services?
We are based in Florida but work with clients across multiple states via virtual meetings. Many of our services are available remotely, including coaching, financial review, and QDRO preparation. That said, when possible, we prefer to meet in person, as face-to-face interaction often leads to deeper connection, better communication, and more personalized support.
